ENGLISH EQUIVALENTS: on, to, in, at

The preposition HA is used to indicate when an object or person is on something or somewhere.

Examples:

  • I'm on the bridge
  • Я на мосту
  • YA namostu
  • The cup is on the table
  • чашка на столе
  • Chashka na stole
  • I go to the street
  • Я иду на улицу
  • YA idu na ulitsu
  • The school is on the cemetery
  • Школа находится на кладбище
  • Shkola nakhodit·sya nakladbishche
  • In the summer I was at the beach
  • Летом я был на пляже
  • Letom ya byl naplyazhe
