Definition: A preposition is a word that helps to structure many other words in Russian language. It defines many relationships between objects within sentences. Russian Prepositions usually establish movement, position and time. Most Russian preposition have an English translation, on the other hand other prepositions don’t have an exactly translation into other languages like English, Spanish, French or German. The most common prepositions in Russian language are: На (to, at, on, in), за (behind, beyond, over, at, after, for) and В (into, to, in, at), although one can find many others.
